Our trip to China was an experience I will never forget. It was very emotional for me when we saw my Foster Mom and also jubilant. I was really excited to meet the person who took care of me for my first ten months. My Foster Dad really seemed to enjoy seeing my art work that I gave them. That made me happy. I was glad that my Foster Parents had the opportunity to learn about who I am now.

Shanghai was amazing and a great place to go shopping. I loved the fashions! We stayed at a hotel with my name, the Jia Hotel. It was fabulous! It had cool decorations and our very contemporary room had dragonflies etched into the tiles and mirrors. We went to the science museum. They had all different sections with fun things to learn and try. I rode a bicycle on a tight rope and went on a simulated spaceship where they spin and train you for outer space. The museum was one of the best parts of the trip for me.

The Great Wall was.....breathtaking. I liked the gondola ride going up and walking on the wall was like becoming a part of history. I was impassioned by the feeling of being on top of the world.

This trip was life changing for me and I appreciated everything my parents did to make my country of origin come to life for me. I hope to go back again someday.
